Elon to Mars
Elon Musk has announced that SpaceX will launch its first uncrewed Starships to Mars in two years, coinciding with the next Earth-Mars transfer window.
The initial missions will test the reliability of landing intact on Mars. If successful, crewed missions are planned for four years later.
The Starship aims to make space exploration more accessible and affordable, with the upcoming test flight set for June 6, 2024, pending regulatory approval.
This flight will test re-entry and heating capabilities, marking a significant step towards achieving SpaceX’s goal of human missions to Mars.
